Shielding and other protection measures
My dream is to rip all the drywall down, then line the walls with Copper-Nickel
mesh RF Shielding and then put back up specialized Drywall that blocks the
Radio Frequencies even further, essentially turning my house into a
Secure Compartmentalized Information Facility (SCIF)
-where you would not get any cellular signal in or out.
Let's start with the following;

This next one I really like because it serves multiple purposes; I grew up in Florida and what I've
learned about hurricanes is that the first step to having your roof getting torn off is the windows
breaking and wind being able to blow through your house -this significantly degrades the structural
integrity. So not only does the following window films block RF -it protects against Spontaneous Glass Breakage, Vandalism, etc and once applied -it does not have to be taken down like a lot of houses that just board up their windows with Plywood.
Apply this film to the baddest windows on the planet and windows are no longer your weakest link in the storm...
Since we brought up Hurricanes, Pop-Quiz which of the
following roof types hold up best to hurricanes?
answer:
Hip Roofs
When it comes to the best roofs for hurricanes, a hip roof is often the top recommendation. Unlike gable roofs, which have vertical ends, a hip roof slopes down on all sides, making it more aerodynamic and better at deflecting wind.
Pros:
-
Better wind resistance
-
Reduced chances of uplift during high wind speeds
-
Sleek design that reduces pressure points
What about the most optimal slope (steepness) of your roof to resist
Hurricanes? No more quiz -all sources found say that the best slope
is between 4:12 (18.4 degrees) which is kind of flat in my opinion, up to 7:12 (30.3 degrees) try to get up on that and do repairs without falling
off -I dare you, it is super steep... So the best is either 5:12 (22.6 degrees)
or 6:12 (26.6 degrees)
I say that to people considering buying a house in Florida and wondering
why it is cheaper than expected but been on the market for a long time
-Check how old the roof is because you might have to pay to replace it...
Alright, we discussed the baddest windows on the planet -what about the baddest roofing materials? Is is SHINGLES, TILE or METAL?
a: 22 Gauge 'METAL' Standing Seam Roof
Explanation: Shingles rip off in strong wind and Tile roofs are good looking but anyone who has ever worked on them know you need a couple extra
boxes of spare tiles because they break so easy when you step on them...

Now, I am not going to recommend any companies that supply
Metal Standing Seam roofs because I have not done enough research
on these but I will instead refer you to an expert who can point you in
the right direction;
